Grand Opening Concert
The International Composers Festival 2022 opened with the very best in beautiful and exciting music, with pieces carefully chosen from hundreds of submissions from all over the world and performed in the presence of many of the composers.
The concert featured the premiere of Polo Piatti's 'Old World Concerto' for cello and orchestra, performed by virtuoso cellist Tim Posner
Guests included music publisher David Good (Goodmusic Publishing), composer/producer Garry Judd (The Artful Corporation Ltd), prolific composer Andrew T. Mackay, (Founder and MD of Bohemia Junction Ltd), international pianist Oliver Poole, as well as Paolo Petrocelli, (Director-General of the Stauffer Center for Strings in Cremona, Italy, who is also the founder and President of EMMA for Peace), all experts in their own sectors, including music management; music production; library music production; film, TV and games music creation; royalties collection, international events production etc. Moderated by the Festival's Founder and Artistic Director Polo Piatti

Family Concert
The festival culminated with a diverse concert that includes specially commissioned symphonic dances inspired by music from around the world performed by children from the Eastbourne Academy of Dancing and adult dance group Lasolepa and Japanese Butoh dancer Yumino Seki. Plus Sound of Rock-A-Nore Shanty Singers, Sambalanco performing for the very first time with an orchestra.
The festival closed with The Way of Light composed by festival patron Nigel Hess
SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL
A Special Concert with Music for Soloists, Singers &
Instrumental Ensembles
International and local soloists and ensembles performed a variety of new music including world premieres by at least six female composers, in a relaxed morning atmosphere.
Featured performers included the ICF Piano Quartet formed by four extraordinarily talented members: Tim Crawford (violin), Ting-Ru-Lai (viola), Tim Posner (cello) and Sam Armstrong (piano).
